Balancing Life

When you’ve had enough you get what you want.

Are you fed-up with wanting more and yet not achieving it?

After working with thousands of people over the years to become successful, I’ve noticed one very common occurrence. When a person becomes fed-up with wishing and struggling for a better life, many times, an individual will get down to doing what is necessary to succeed.

Many philosophers since ancient times have noted, “Human beings are motivated away from pain and toward pleasure.” The important point to remember is the pain must become uncomfortable to the degree of making a person say, “That’s it! I’ve had it! I’m going to do something about it—starting—NOW, this moment!”

When I’ve witnessed the many people who achieved the state of being fed-up and decided to do something about it, they did just that! Many times these were the people who later become very rich, very happy, very powerful and above all else—very successful.

Although I can’t teach you how to get to the point of being fed-up, I can help you with what to do when you become ready for a better life.

So many good people have shared with me thousands of good excuses why they can’t do the things they would like to do. These sound-minded individuals will share, “I would do this or that if I only had more money; a better relationship; a better job; better health….” Of course, the list could go on and on. These individuals are really saying, “I’m NOT yet fed-up enough with the negative things in my life to create the positive changes desired.”

As I’ve shared with so many of you before, my job is really very much like the “Wizard of Oz.” I tell my students that they could go to their desired dreams anytime they choose. The important thing to remember is the choice is up to each person and not any of the apparent extraneous factors of his or her life.

Why is it some people love their trade while others despise their profession? Why is that some people choose a loving relationship while others choose a tumultuous connection? Why is it that some people generate more money then they will ever be able to spend while others don’t make enough to live on? The answer to all of the above questions is the same, “Only when you produce enough discomfort in your current life are you willing to put forth the necessary effort to create the life we want.”

Human beings are very unique for many reasons. One of the most unusual things about the human being is its ability to adapt. A person will learn to adapt to a wide variety of living conditions. Extreme climates, physical limitations, and economic constraints are just a few conditions, many people will adapt to and learn to live with.

Unfortunately, most people will adapt to less than their desired living standards by thinking that is what they are forced to accept as a normal. Many individuals will declare, “I’m stuck in this job or business because I have to pay the bills.” Another common declaration is, “I’m doing everything I can but still can’t get ahead.”

Now, I’m not making fun at either of these common statements, but I am saying they aren’t true. The truth in these statements is in the fact that these individuals have not had enough discomfort to do something bigger. When they’ve had enough of being less than what is desired, people will always create something better.

Look around your life. Take a look at your finances, relationships, health, job/business or your living conditions. Are these areas at a level that makes you happy? Are you living life the way you choose or are you feeling a little out-of-control? Don’t fret. Everything in life is dynamic and the constant change lends an opportunity for you to have bigger and better things.

Is it time you declare, “That’s it. I’m not going to settle for less than what I want to be. I am tired of playing a game that is smaller than who I really am.”? If you are to that point, may I suggest you attend a powerful, private workshop called, Breaking The Money Barriers.
